There are many sights to be seen in Harbin, some just
aren't as easy to find as in other cities. If you google Harbin you
will understand. You might have to work a bit harder to find points of
interest such as opera, ballet, temples, amusement parks, museums, and
galleries.
During the winter months, Harbin is world famous for its
ice festival. More importantly though is Chinese Lunar New Year. Very
festive time with lots of tradition and firecrackers. Chinese that is
spoken here is considered second only to Beijing in its pureness. On
that note, Joy school offers free weekly Chinese lessons.
The cost of living in Harbin is extremely low. If
you’re looking to save some money, this is definitely the
place to do it.
